Certified Health & Nutrition Coach
After reaching a point where my physical and mental health started to sharply decline in my mid-20s, a few hospital trips, receiving a lot of conflicting information from healthcare professionals, and a PCOS diagnosis , I knew that if I didn’t make a change in the way I was approaching my health, I would be continuing down a path of confusion and temporary fixes instead of long-term healing. After feeling so disempowered with my health, this led me to pursuing further education and experimenting with different healing modalities so I could play an active role in my own healing.

Health, wellness and fitness had always been a big part of my life, but mostly from a singular perspective of "if your vitals are good and you're outwardly successful, then you are healthy." As I began to explore my health options holistically through addressing not only my physical health, but the mental, emotional and spiritual facets that all played a role in my overall well-being, I began to see how they truly were all connected and affected one another. Through trial and error, it became clear I was imbalanced, which was contributing to overall stress, inflammation and discomfort in my physical and mental bodies.

Throughout that journey, I was introduced to the concept of health coaching by my incredible partner, Zak, who is also a holistic health coach. I fell in love with the concept and knew I wanted to help others navigate the realm of holistic health and I began my health coaching journey at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition.

The holistic health path I have been on has changed my life for the better in so many ways, not only have my PCOS symptoms significantly improved, as well as other aspects of my overall health, but most notably, I am living with more joy and purpose, which I believe has played a key role in improving my overall health and well-being.
Reflecting on my own journey brings me so much gratitude for my experience, even the times where I felt hopeless and disempowered, and reminds me each day of why I wanted to pursue health coaching in the first place - so I could hold that unconditional presence and space for others to make healthy changes in their own lives, play an active role in their health and discover their true, authentic joy, expression and peace. I do believe that the healthier our whole being is, the more we help heal those we love by sharing the abundance that flows from this way of living, while simultaneously promoting genuine connection, purpose-filled living and the healing of humanity.
About My Health Coaching Process
What is health coaching and how do I approach it?
Health coaching is when you work with a coach (me!) to help you cultivate the knowledge and skills required to actively participate in your health, achieve your bio-individual goals and overcome blockages. The coach serves as your partner and guide to discover that you have the ability and tools within yourself to understand what your body needs, giving you the safe space, knowledge and tools to explore and develop these abilities.

How is your health coaching holistic?
Your health is determined not just by your physical health, but the combination of your mental, emotional, physical and spiritual health. All of these facets determine the overall health of your being.
This is done by honoring the concept of primary and secondary food taught by the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, where I received my coaching certification. In this concept of health, the food on your plate is not the only thing that nourishes you, but areas of your life like relationships, career, social life, etc. all contribute to your overall health.
Primary Food: The “food” beyond your plate. Primary food is everything from fulfillment in your career & relationships, to being connected to your purpose, your self-worth and confidence, having a connection to something greater than you, etc.
Secondary Food: The literal food on your plate - The bottom line is: when you are nourished and happy in the ways that truly matter, food becomes secondary.
